Many of Richmond's citizens are on a fixed income and many others earn substantially less than the median income for the County. Lower taxes would really help these people out. One of the main reasons is because almost 50% of Richmond's taxable property is taken up be Fort Bend County's buildings. This development will add some taxable value to Richmond's tax rolls, both in real property and sales tax receipts.
